Founder of the Meditation & Yoga School on Patong Hill, Phuket
Taksawan Chaisuwan, affectionately known as “Wi,” is the founder and guiding spirit behind one of Phuket’s most peaceful and inspiring meditation and yoga schools. Nestled in the lush hills of Patong with breathtaking ocean views, Wi has created a sanctuary where people can reconnect with their inner peace.
Her spiritual journey began early in life, but a turning point came in 2013, when she became a student of the highly revered Thai monk Luang Phor Viriyang Sirintharo. Under his guidance, Wi mastered the art of meditation following the traditional Thai Kammathāna forest tradition. This profound experience shaped not only her personal path but also inspired her to support others on theirs.
For many years, Wi volunteered as a meditation instructor at the Big Buddha Temple in Phuket, offering short meditation courses to both locals and international visitors. Until the temple’s temporary closure in 2024, her sessions provided a calming and grounding experience for many. During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, Wi witnessed a deep need for mental and spiritual support, as people from all walks of life struggled to find balance and clarity.
In response, she founded her own Meditation & Yoga School on Patong Hill—a place where traditional Thai mindfulness practices meet an open and welcoming international atmosphere. Today, Wi offers group and private sessions in meditation, yoga, and mindfulness, guiding her students with compassion, clarity, and a deep understanding of inner peace.
